Home from Home:
We have stayed twice now in these cottages. The
location is tranquil. The cottages are finished to a
high standard and the cleanliness is to be
commended. The Brothers who manage these cottages
are friendly and have a mine of information about
the area etc. The first time we stayed here I was a
little concerned that we might be cold but the
heating is timed to perfection and if things get a
little chilly the gas stove is always on hand. We
have stayed in both the 2 bed and 1 bed cottages and
there is no problem with cooking facilities etc.
The only problem is that if I tell people about this
wonderful place that I may not get booked in the
next time I need a break.

The Best Place to
stay in the Belfast area:
You'll not find a nicer, friendlier place to stay in
Newtownards. Imagine your own townhouse built into
an old stable in the country. Conveniently located
near stores and petrol, my wife and I travelled
throughout Northern Ireland and the coastal towns.
By the second day it truely felt like home and we
have never been so sad to leave as we were here.
Thank you Jim and Tess (my adopted dog), we are
looking forward to returning soon.

Our travelling party
of four stayed in a two-bedroom cottage here in January 2008 for a
week. The location is great: within a few minutes of the town of
Newtownards and in commuting distance to Belfast, while still being
in a calm rural setting on the Ards peninsula. Our cottage far
surpassed our expectations, with a fully supplied kitchen, modern
bathroom, excellent furnishings, and a gas fire. The proprietors,
Terry and Jim, were very friendly and stopped to talk with us
several times. They also have a very smart and playful Welsh Border
Collie, Tess. Those staying here will most likely have a car, but
there is a bus line at the end of the road, a 10-minute walk, that
links to Newtownards and Belfast. If you are coming to Northern
Ireland for a week or longer, this is the place to stay. |
